Christensen Boatyards Yachts

Christensen Shipyards was founded in 1983 by entrepreneur Dave Christensen in Vancouver, Washington. The company began by building high-quality composite yachts using advanced fibreglass construction techniques. From the beginning, Christensen focused on producing large luxury motor yachts with strong hulls, spacious interiors and long-range cruising capability. This approach quickly attracted attention from owners looking for reliable yachts capable of travelling comfortably across oceans.

Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s the shipyard expanded its facilities and gained a reputation for constructing fully custom superyachts for private owners. Many of these yachts measured between 40 and 50 metres and featured generous interior layouts, elegant guest suites and large outdoor entertainment areas. The company became particularly well known for its use of composite hulls, which offered strength while reducing overall weight.

Over time Christensen yachts began appearing in major cruising destinations around the world, including the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and the Pacific. Owners appreciated the combination of American craftsmanship, custom interior design and dependable engineering. Today the Christensen name remains associated with large luxury motor yachts built for comfortable long-distance cruising and private ownership.
